Penne Asparagus Balsamico

12 oz penne pasta about 4 cups
1 cup small frozen peas
1 bunch fresh asparagus trimmed and cut into 1 inch pcs..about 1 pound
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2/3 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/3 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh Italian parsley leaves

Preheat over to 375.
Cook pasta according to package
Set aside 1/2 cup pasta cooking water. Drain pasta and put back into pot and add peas.

Toss asparagus with oil and 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper and bake 9 to 11 minutes until tender crisp

While asparagus bakes boil the balsamic vinegar in a small pan 10 to 15 min or until reduce to about 3 taablespoons...Remove from heat and add the butter.

add cream, cheese, parsely and remaing salt and pepper to pasta add asparagus
add a little of the cooking water to thin out sauce.

Divide the pasta between 4 dinner plates and drizzle a very small amount of the balsamic reduction to serve
