Italian Tortellini Soup

1 pound bulk Italian pork sausage
2 cups shredded carrots
1 cup chopped onion
1 large green pepper seeded and chopped
2 cans (14 oz each) beef broth
4 cups water
1 can kidney beans drained and rinsed
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 cups frozen cheese tortellini
grated parmesan
Heat large saucepan over medium heat and crumble the sausage into pan. Cook stirring occasionally until sausage is browned. Drain off any fat.
Add the carrot, onion and bell pepper. Cook until vegetables are tender. Add water, broth, beans and seasoning. Bring to a boil. Add the tortellini and return to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until pasta is tender..about 5 minutes. Serve with grated parmesan.
