Jazz up ramen noodles with zippy meatballs and Oriental vegetables for a quick dinner.

Ingredients 1 pound ground pork or lean ground turkey

1 1/4 to 1 1/2 teaspoons *Szechuan seasoning
1 can (14.5 ounces) chicken broth
3 cups water
2 tablespoons light soy sauce
1 package (6 ounces) frozen snow pea pods
2 packages (3 ounces each) chicken flavor ramen noodle soup mix
1 can (15 ounces) baby corn, drained
4 teaspoons sesame seed, toasted (directions follow)

Directions In small bowl, combine pork and Szechuan seasoning; mix well.
Shape into 1-inch balls.
Cook in a little oil until brown on all sides and done.
. Lift meatballs out with slotted spoon. In large saucepan, combine broth, water and soy sauce. Bring to boil over medium-high heat. Add cooked meatballs, frozen pea pods, ramen noodles and flavor packets from soup mixes.

Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer uncovered for 3 to 4 minutes or until pea pods are crisp-tender. Stir in baby corn; cook 2 to 3 minutes until corn is heated through. Ladle into bowls and top each serving with sesame seed.

Makes 6 servings

You'll find baby corn in the vegetable aisle and also with the Oriental foods. Do not use the pickled baby corn.

TO TOAST SESAME SEED: In small skillet over medium heat, cook sesame seed, stirring frequently, until toasted, about 5 minutes. Be careful not to burn.

*Szechuan seasoning in Oriental foods.
