Place 6 pineapple slices in a bowl and sprinkle with
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablesppon lemon juice
Let stand 1 hour
Sift
1/3 cup cornstarch
3 tablespoons flour
Make a well in center and gradually add 1/4 cup milk
Mix well
Drain pineapple slices well and toss them in plain flour
Dip in batter and fry in hot oil
Dust with powdered sugar
I got this recipe when we lived in Japan.
Serve sauce over fritters
Sauce
1 cup pineapple juice
1/2 cup sugar
2 slices of pineapple chopped
1 tablespoon cornstach
1 tablespoon butter
Cook until thick, stirring constantly
Add juice of 1/4 to 1/2 lemon
I got this from a neighbor when we lived in Australia and just found it the other day.. I remember this was yummmmy
