Orange Poppy Seed Dressing (and salad)

Category: make your own salad dressings

1/4 cup frozen orange juice, not deluted.
2 tablespoon frozen pineapple juice, not deluted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
3 tablespoon white vinegar
1/2 c white corn syrup or 3/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup salad oil
1 teaspoon poppy seeds (or more to taste)

Combine all the ingredients except salad oil,

Add the salad oil in a steady slow stream to emulsify. (can whisk or use blender)

Toss with salad and sprinkle with crispy bacon crumbled

(I mix half baby spinach, half romaine lettuce torn into bite size pieces. Some chopped celery, diced water chestnuts, toasted walnuts, mandarin orange sections, and small can of drained pineapple tidbits for salad with this dressing. We use to buy a bottled dressing that taste like this but we can not find it anymore anyplace, not even on line. Instead of not having it, I tried to come up with one as close as possible in taste.
