The Basic Balsamic Vinegarette

Basic Balsamic Vinegarette Dressing

1/3 cup of a good balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 tablespoon granulated sugar (or more to taste)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Whisk together all the ingredients except olive oil.
Whisk while pouring the olive oil in slowly in a steady stream.

Makes about 2/3 cup.
