Baked Pasta Ole'

1/2 of a 1 lb package of pasta
1 lb chorizo sausage casing removed, if needed
1/2 to 1 teas chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1 cup medium or mild salsa
8 oz shredded Mexican blend cheese, divided
4 green onions chopped..about 1/3 cup

Cook pasta according to package directions
drain and return to pot

In a skillet, cook sausage until no longer pink, breaking it up into small pieces. Drain and discard any drippings from sausage.

Stir chili, cumin and salsa into sausage. Bring to a boil. Pour over pasta. If it seems dry, add a little more salsa. Add 1 cup cheese and toss to combine.

Put pasta into a 9x9 dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Make sure to press pasta into corners of dish. Sprinkle with 1 cup cheese. Bake 375 for 14 to 15 min or until cheese is bubbling. Sprinkle with green onions.
