Mincemeat Bars

Preheat oven to 350

Combine:
1 1/2 c flour
3/4 c brown sugar
1/4 teas salt
1/2 c crisco shortening
Mix together until like fine crumbs

Press into a 13x9 ungreased pan

Spread over top of crust

1 1/2 c mincemeat

Combine:
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teas salt
2 eggs
2/3 c sugar
1/2 c instant chocolate malted milk
1/2 teas baking powder
1 c oats
1/2 c coconut
Mix together until well blended

Spread over mincemeat

Bake 30 or 35 min at 350 degrees

Cool and cut.

I got this recipe from a friend when we lived in Australia. Rich loved mincemeat pies and I always bought it at Christmas to make him a pie..so just started making these bars, too.
