Candied Walnuts

1/4 cup margarine (half a stick)
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups walnut pieces
Melt the butter in a medium sized skillet over medium heat. Once butter has melted, add brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Keep stirring mixture as it heats up and the sugar begins to melt. Stir intermittently until the mixture begins to bubble. Add in the walnuts and carefully stir to coat the walnuts. Allow to cook for an additional five minutes over medium heat. While walnuts are cooking, prepare a pan by covering it with non-stick foil or parchment paper (this keeps the walnuts from sticking to the pan). Pour the walnuts onto the pan and separate them so they don't harden into a clump. Allow to cool and store in an air-tight container.
