Makes 1

This is the classic 1950's recipe, as made by grandmother.

1 cup milk
1 cup grape juice
1 tablespoon sugar
Ice

Fill a large glass, about 20 ounces with ice, cracked or crushed is best. Then pour the milk, grape juice, and sugar into the glass and stir until well-blended. Serve cold. If you want to make it pretty, top with a dollop of whipped cream and a maraschino cherry.

Note: There are "modernized" versions from the 60's and 70's... 1. Instead of using grape juice, use grape flavoured soda pop. 2. Pour the soda pop over vanilla ice cream instead of mixing milk and soda. Yummy!
