Cinnamon Puffs

Biscuit dough recipe or canned biscuits
Butter or margarine
Cinnamon
Sugar
Oil or butter for frying
Mix and knead dough as directed, but do not roll-out and cut. With buttered hands, roll dough between palms, forming 1-inch balls. Deep fry in hot oil or oil & butter combination until browned and center is not dough-like. Drain on towel. Roll in melted butter/margarine, then roll in sugar mixture to coat completely. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Sugar Mixture:
Mix together about a cup of sugar and 2 tsp of cinnamon.
Note: This is a recipe I first made in 7th grade homemaking class; the first recipe I remember making without serious adult assistance. We used canned biscuits, cutting them into quarters and rolling into balls.
