1/2 c. melted butter
4 eggs, separated
2 c. buttermilk
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp soda
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp vanilla (if using waffles for sweet)
Beat egg whites until stiff. Beat egg yolks, add buttermilk and melted butter. Combine dry ingredients and add yolk mixture. Fold in egg whites.
