Hot Cocoa (Evaporated Milk)

2 Tbsp cocoa
2 Tbsp sugar
Dash salt
1/3 c. hot water
3/4 c. evaporated milk
3/4 c. water
1/4 tsp vanilla
Marshmallows or marshmallow creme

Stir together cocoa, sugar, and salt in a 1&1/2 qt saucepan Stir in hot water slowly. Boil gently over low to medium heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add remaining water to milk and then stir into cocoa mixture. Stir and heat thoroughly. Do not boil. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Beat with rotary beater until foamy. Serve hot.
