Baked Apples

4 large apples, cored
4-6 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp butter
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. water

Slit peel around middle of each apple. Put apples in 6-8" baking dish and fill centers with a mixture of 4-6 Tbsp sugar, butter & cinnamon. Boil sugar and water together in a saucepan for 30 seconds to make syrup. After apples have baked at 350 for 10 minutes, pour syrup over them. Bake another 20 minutes or until tender.
