From Phyllis:
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 Tbsp vanilla
Jam or marmalade

Cream butter and sugar well. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Gradually add the dry ingredients, mix thoroughly. Press through cookie press onto ungreased baking sheets. Sppon 1/4 tsp jam or marmalade into center of cookie, if desired. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes, until delicately browned.
