Applesauce Cookies

3/4 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. applesauce
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 tsp cloves
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Mix shortening and brown sugar. Add egg. Stir in applesauce and other ingredients. Bake at 375.
