Cake Brownies

1/4 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
2/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 c. chopped nuts
2 stiff beaten egg whites
2 1oz sqaures chocolate, melted and cooled
Powdered sugar

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg yolks, milk and vanilla. Beat well. Stir in melted chocolate. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir into greased and floured 9x9x2" baking pan. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes. Cool. Sprinkle top with powdered sugar. Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
