Almond Cookies

6 Tbsp butter
1 tsp soda
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 c. water
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. cut, blanched almonds

Mix butter and sugar. Stir in water. Sift together flour, soda, salt and cinnamon. Add almonds and mix thoroughly with hands. Roll into roll 2 1/2". Wrap in waxed paper. Chill 2-3 hours. Cut into 1/8" slices. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 for 6-8 minutes.
