Mexican Cornbread

1 c. corn meal
3/4 c. milk
1/2 c. oil ( if doubling recipe, add only 3/4 c.)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 can cream corn

2nd Mixture:
1/2 can vefeburger, browned
1 c. cheese
1 chopped onion
4 oz. jalapeno or green chilies


Pour 1/2 of corn meal mixture into greased casserole bowl. Add vegemeat mixture. Top vegemeat mixture with the other half of cornmeal mixture. Bake 1 hour at 350, or until top of casserole is a medium brown. Cool 5 to 10 minutes before serving. Serves 4
