buttermilk brownie cake

2 cups plain flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 stick butter
1/2 c. shortening
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. water
2 eggs

In a bowl, mix flour, sugar and salt and set aside. In a sauce pan, bring water, butter, crisco, and cocoa to a boil. Pour over sugar mixture. Mix soda with buttermilk. Alternate buttermilk with eggs. Mix well then add vanilla. Pour into a cookie sheet pan. Cook for 20 minutes at 300 degrees.

ICING
1 box powdered sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 c. evaporated milk
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts (optional)
6 large marshmallows or 1/2 bag minitatures.

Bring to a boil. Stir until marshmallows are dissolved.
