My Famous Chili

Ingredients:
1 pound lean ground beef
1 pound ground turkey
1 red bell pepper, diced
14 oz. can diced tomatoes(Italian Recipe)
28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
14 oz. can whole cranberries
6 cans(15 oz.each) kidney beans and liquid
1 medium onion,diced
14 oz. can beef broth
14 oz. can vegetable broth
2 oz.dk.chocolate,chili-candy-bar,Moonstruck
1 c. Spicy Hot V8 juice
2 pkg.(1.75oz.ea)Lawry's chili mix
1 c. Instant potato buds(I use Betty Crocker)

Directions:
In a large soup kettle over medium heat, add 1 Tablespoon oil and add the beef and turkey-stir to brown and scramble until no longer pink. If there is any grease spoon off and discard. Add onion and red pepper. Stir to mix. Add in crushed tomatoes,beans,diced tomatoes and chili mix. Stir mixing well to combine. Add chili chocolate bar(if you cannot find the chocolate bar-use a Hersey's Special dark chocolate bar and 1/4 teaspoon chili pepper) DO NOT OMIT THE CHOCOLATE BAR!-Add cranberries-do not omit these either. Add the vegetable and beef broths and Spicy Hot V8- stir to blend well. Sprinkle potato buds a little at a time and mix in after each addition until all is added. Stir well. Let simmer 10 to 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.
