1 2/3 C. granulated sugar
3/4 C. Butter or margarine, melted
2 T water
2 lrg eggs
2 t. vanilla
1 1/3 C. all-purpose flour
3/4 Baking cocoa
1/2 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt
3/4 chopped nuts (optional)
Powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 13X9X2 inch pan. Combine sugar, butter, and water in large bowl. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt in medium bowl; stir into sugar mixture. Stir in nuts. Spread into prepared pan.
Bake for 18 to 25 mins, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out slightly sticky. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into bars. Makes 24 brownies.
