Sparkling Apple Pucker
Category: Cocktails
Serves/Makes: 2
Difficulty: 1
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
4 ounces Apple Pucker
1 1/2 to 2 ounces simple syrup*
juice of 1/2 a lime
juice of 1/2 a lemon
Green Apple Sparkling Soda (recommend Efferve Brand)
2 thin slices of a granny smith apple
ice cubes
Preparation:
Fill a cocktail shaker 1/2 with ice cubes. Add Apple Pucker, simple syrup, lime juice and lemon juice. Shake for 20-30 seconds until very cold.
Divide into two white wine glasses. Fill each glass with the Green Apple Sparkling Soda. Garnish with a granny smith apple slice.
*For Simple Syrup combine 1 cup water and 1 cup white sugar in a small pan. Over medium heat stir until sugar is dissolved. Cool and store in an airtight container in the fridge. I always keep this around for when a drink idea pops into my head.
Cooks Notes - I was attracted to this beautiful bright green liquid in an old fashioned bottle. It was this Green Apple French soda. I wanted to showcase it's beautiful color so I paired it with the Apple Pucker. The soda is not sweet so that's why I added the simple syrup. The wonder crisp apple taste is a very welcome change for the summer.
