Alfredo Sauce

2 tablespoons butter
1 onion
4 cups heavy whipping cream
1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon grated nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3 eggs

heat butter in pot medium heat, saute onion until tender. Add whipping cream. Let it come to a boil. Temper eggs. Add to pot slowly. Stir in remaining ingredients, except cheese. Cook 15 minutes. Stir frequently. Add cheese to pot, cook 15 more minutes. Stir frequent. Serve over noodles for a great dinner.
