I don't like to bake apple burritos

Category: Recipes

Ingredients:

Four flour tortillas
Four cooking apples peeled, cored and sliced thin.
1 cup granulated sugar
1 stick of salted butter
1 and one half tablespoons freshly grated cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon powdered clove
Juice of one lemon

Optional: 1 cup of grated charp cheddar cheese. Or, 1 cup of fresh whipped cream.

In large skillet melt 3/4 stick of butter over medium heat, add sliced apples, 3/4 cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon cinnamon, clove, and juice of lemon.

Keep frying until all ingredients are married and the juices are reduced to thick sauce. Add a tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with 3 tablespoons of water if the reduction isn't thickening.

Lay tortillas out on flat surface...Add 1/4 of apple mix to each tortilla. Roll up as your would a burrito.

Place apple burritos on a greased baking sheet with flap side down.

Melt the remaining butter in same sauce pan and brush over the burritos. Combine the remaining sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle generously over the burritos.

Bake in 350 degree oven until golden brown, approximatly 20 minutes.

Once golden brown sprinkle grated cheese over top and place under broiler until the cheese melts.

Or, serve with whipped cream.

These are large burritos...slice into bite size portions (like you would slice sushi) and serve a crowd or slice in half and serve 8.
