Provolone Pesto Pizza

For when you just don't have time to make the pizza dough.

1 lb. frozen bread dough
6 ozs. provolone cheese
2/3 cup pesto

Thaw bread dough according to package directions. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Roll out dough to fit 12 inch tart pan with removable bottom. Spray pan with nonstick vegetable spray and fit dough into pan, making sure it covers the bottom. Press down with fingers and prick eight times with a fork.

Remove rind from cheese. Grate cheese on large holes of box grater and reserve. Bake crust for 15 minutes. Spread pesto evenly over crust and add a grinding of black pepper. Cover with grated cheese.

Quickly return to oven and bake for 10 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly. Cut into thin wedges. Serve immediately.
Yields 10 to 12 wedges.
