Spicy Raisin Chutney

1 cup raisins
1 tablespoon grated or minced fresh ginger root
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 to 6 tablespoons warm water
juice of 1 lemon

Combine all the ingredients in a food processor or blender. Blend until well pureed, adding a bit more water as necessary.

May be served immediately or refrigerated until needed.
Goes well with lamb or pork.
Yields 1 1/2 cups.
