Nate’s Chili Con Carne

Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground chuck
1 medium yellow onion, diced
3 celery stalks, sliced
1 bell pepper, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 Tbsp chili powder
2 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp salt
1 28 oz. can diced tomatoes
1 16 oz. can black beans
1 16 oz. can dark red kidney beans
1 28 oz. can tomato sauce
1. Cook ground beef in a 5 qt. pot over medium heat until browned and finely crumbled. Drain grease.
2. Add onion, celery, bell pepper, garlic and serranos. Cook until onion is translucent.
3. Add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover and simmer for 2 hours or until celery is soft. (The longer it simmers, the better it will taste).
