Prep Time:       Cook Time:       Total Time:

2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 tablespoon vanilla
1/4 cup butter
3 cups old fashiond oats

Combine sugar, cocoa, butter and milk in saucepan. Bring to a boil over low heat. cook 1 minute stirring frequently. Add vanilla, oats and peanut butter. Mix well. Drop by teaspoons onto waxed paper. Yields 3 dozen.

This was the first recipe I ever wrote and learned to make, from the 1970's. Quick rolling oats may also work, but I prefer the old fashioned since it reminds me of when I was a kid.
