Onion Poppy Soup Bread

3 onions, chopped
2 c cold butter, divided
1 T poppy seeds
1-1/2 t salt
1-1/2 t paprika
1 t coarsely ground pepper
4 c flour
1/2 c cornstarch
1 T baking powder
1 T sugar
1 T brown sugar
5 eggs
3/4 c milk
3/4 c sour cream

In skillet, cook onions in 1/2c butter low 10 min.
Stir in poppy seeds, salt, paprika and pepper until golden brown, stir occasionally.
Remove from heat; set aside.
Combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder and sugars.
Cut in 1-1/4c butter until resembles coarse crumbs.
Melt remaining butter.
Whisk eggs, milk, sour cream & melted butter.
Make a well in dry; stir in wet just until moistened.
Spread into a greased 10" springform pan.
Spoon onion mix over the dough.
Place pan on a baking sheet.
Bake 350 35-40 min until a toothpick comes out clean.
