dad's turkey

1 turkey bag
roasting pan
20# turkey
4 big cans chicken broth
3 tbs. basil,sage,parsely,garlic pepper
1/2 cup or 2 sticks butter
lrg mixing bowl

prep time 45 min
cook time 12 hrs

pre heat oven to 250 degrees. mix all spices and broth in large mixing bowl until well blended. put thawed turkey in the bag. melt butter. pour butter onto turkey while in the bag covering entire turkey w/butter. now pour broth mix over turkey and tie bag up so it doesnt leak.put into roasting pan and into oven. this is best if started at 10 pm the night befor dinner. if thanksgiving dinner is at noon. when timer goes off take out turkey. the broth can be used and is really good for noodles and gravy.

this recipe is for the lazy man such as myself when turkey is finish there is no carving involed it fall off bones and you just seperate bones and serve.
