Category: Recipes

This recipe can be reduced if you don't have a crowd to feed or a lot of storage space. I just like to make alot. That way it only needs to be made once a year. If you make this full recipe you may want to grab a box of freezer storage bags or good containers to give some away in.

2 Large Cans Manwhich
1lb. Pre-cooked Taco Meat
6+lbs.Beef Stew Cubes Thinly Sliced, fat removed (+,-)
10lbs. Lean Ground Beef(+,-)
5 packages Chili powder, 1 Hot(+,-)
3 Bags Texas Chili Seasoning w/cayenne pepper(+,-)
**Additioal Spices**
Cumin
Regular Chili Powder
More Packages of Chili Powder Mix

There are so many more on the market, the choice are endless. Everyone has different taste. Either Hot or Mild or inbetween. Some people like other meats.

Place the finely sliced beef cube meat in a storage container add all 4 cans of Zesty Chili Tomatoes marinate overnight. If not refrigerate while browning the beef and sausage together. Once all meat is browned drain all fat, return to large skillet add the chili seasonings and the marinating meat, don't drain. Continue cooking until all meat is fully cooked. Mix together well. Seasonings may need to be adjusted.
In very large stock pot (or crab pot)start dumping in the cans of beans, drain the juice, except for 2 small can and the 2 large cans. Add the manwhich and a few cans of tomatoe sauce, start heating on medium-low heat until beans just start to get done. Add meat and more sauce as needed, bring to boil for ten minutes reduce heat and simmer for about 45 minutes to an hour. Stirring constantly so beans won't stick to bottom of pot. Taste. Adjust seasonings accordingly.
