Brown Bag Apple Pie

Filling:

6-8 apples (jonagold, gala, and fuji work best)
1/2 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 Tbsp. lemon juice

Cut apples into 1/2 to 1 inch pieces. Combine sugar, flour, and nutmeg. Toss to coat. Put into 9 inch shell. Drizzle with lemon juice.

Topping:

1 stick of butter (put into freezer at the start of cutting up apples)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour

Combine sugar and flour. Cut in butter with pastry blender or two knives. Blend until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.

Put into brown bag. Fold a couple times and paper clip well. Bake at 425 for 1 hour.

Serves 6-10 people
