Nutty Oven Fried chicken drumsticks

Serves 4-6
12 chicken drumsticks or 6 whole legs (about 3 lbs)
1 egg, beaten
1 cup cornflake crumbs
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
1 Tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, melted
Preheat oven to 400 F. Toss drumsticks with egg to coat.
Combine cornflake crumbs, pecans, sugar, salt, onion powder and pepper in large resealable food storage bag. Add chicken; two pieces at a time; shake to coat.
Place chicken on foil lined baking sheet, drizzle with melted butter. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until cooked through.
