Applesauce Pudding

Mix:
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup lemon juice

Stir until thickened.
Beat:
2 egg whites

Beat until stiff, but not dry and add to milk mixture, folding carefully. Using 1 long steel pan, place a layer of vanilla wafers, a layer of milk mixture, and a layer of canned applesauce (about 1/2 inch thick). Continue until the milk mixture is used, ending with water layer. Chill until time to serve.
