Beat and eat frosting

3 cup sugar
1 tsp cream of tartar
4 tsp vanilla
4 egg whites
1 cup boiling water

Place sugar, cream of tartar, vanilla and egg whites in the mixer. Mix well on low speed. Add boiling water to the egg white mixture. Beat at high speed until mixture stands in stiff peaks. Spread on cake.
