Praline Cookies

Makes approximately 18 dozen cookies

3 cups butter, softened
9 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
6 eggs
6 tsp vanilla
9 cup sifted flour
6 cup chopped pecans

Cream butter until smooth; add sugar and eggs, beating until smooth and fluffy. Add vanilla. Sift in flour and blend thoroughly. Stir in nuts until well distributed.
Shape dough in small balls and flatten out with a flat bottomed glass, covered with a clean, slightly dampened cloth, to about 1/8 inch thickness on a greased baking pan. They should be at least 1 inch apart when flattened. Bake at 375 F for 12 minutes, or until nicely browned. Cool on the pan for 2-3 minutes. Then transfer to a table cloth to finish cooling.
