Charlene's Recipe

Vanilla pudding

3/4 cup sugar
3 Tbsp flour
dash of salt
4 eggs
2 cups milk
1 tsp vanilla
3-4 medium bananas

Separate egg yolks, save the white for later. Mix everything together and cook in double boiler until thick. Great for banana pudding or to put over cold homemade biscuits. For banana pudding put a layer of vanilla wafers, layer of bananas. Pour pudding over this, it makes two or three layers. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add a dash of salt and 1/2 cup sugar, beat a little more to mix the sugar. Spread over pudding and brown under broiler.
