Hot milk cake and caramel butter icing

4 eggs, beaten
2 cup sugar
2 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1 Tbsp vanilla
1 stick butter
1/4 cup milk
CARAMEL BUTTER ICING:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup milk
3 1/4 cup sifted powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 375 F. In a large bowl mix eggs and sugar, add flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla. In a saucepan melt butter and add milk together stirring constantly. Combine this with the ingredients in the bowl and mix thoroughly. Pour cake mixture into a greased and floured cake pan (can use tube, 9x13x2 round or 2 square pans). Bake for approximately 60 minutes. Melt butter, add brown sugar and bring to a boil stirring constantly for about 1 minute until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Add milk and stir in powdered sugar gradually. Spread icing over cooled cake.
