Apple burritos

Serves 8

6 large tart apples, peeled, sliced
1/2 cup sugar
2 Tbsp cornstarch
2 Tbsp dry white wine
2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp allspice
8 large flour tortillas
6 Tbsp butter

Combine apples and sugar with water to cover in saucepan. Simmer for 5 minutes or until tender. Blend cornstarch, wine and spices in small bowl. Add several drops of water to dissolve cornstarch if necessary. Stir into apples. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Soften tortillas in 2 Tbsp butter in skillet for 10-15 seconds, turning once. Add remaining butter as necessary. Spoon scant 1/4 cup apple filling onto each tortilla; roll to enclose filling. Place seam side down on oiled rack in broiler pan. Brush with remaining butter. Broil for 4-5 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve with unflavored yogurt or sour cream.
NOTE: May sprinkle filled tortillas with cinnamon-sugar before broiling if desired.
