Banana Bread

Makes 12 slices
1/2 cup margarine, softened
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup whole wheat flour
3 large bananas, mashed
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 tsp vanilla extract
Cream margarine and sugar in mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift all purpose flour, soda and salt into bowl. Stir in whole wheat flour. Add to creamed mixture; mix well. Fold in bananas, walnuts and vanilla. Spoon into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 F for 50-60 minutes or until bread tests done. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Cook on wire rack.
