Chicken casserole

Serves 8
1 (3 1/2 to 4 lb) chicken,cut up
1/2 cup flour
2 tsp each salt and pepper
1/2 cup butter
1 cup water
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
1 (4 oz) can mushrooms with liquid
2 Tbsp minced onion
1 Tbsp celery flakes
1 Tbsp green pepper flakes
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Coat chicken with mixture of flour, salt and pepper. Brown on both sides in butter in skillet. Remove chicken to baking dish. Add remaining ingredients to skillet, stirring to deglaze. Simmer for 5 minutes. Pour over chicken. Bake, covered, at 350 for 1 hour. Serve on bed of rice with broccoli spears and whole baby carrots.
