Chicken with Vegetables

Serves 4

1 (2 1/2 lb) chicken, cut up
1 chicken bouillon cube
3/4 cup boiling water
1 cup 1 inch carrot chunks
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 lb mushrooms, sliced
1/2 lb green beans, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 tsp bay leaves
1/8 tsp pepper
2 Tbsp flour
2 Tbsp water

Place chicken on rack in 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake at 450 F for 20 minutes or until brown. Remove chicken; drain. Stir bouillon dissolved in boiling water into baking pan. Add vegetables and seasonings. Add chicken. Spoon sauce over chicken. Bake, covered, at 350 F until chicken is tender. Arrange chicken and vegetables on serving plate. Blend pan drippings and mixture of flour and 2 Tbsp water in saucepan. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Spoon over chicken. Serve with rice.
