Sauerkraut and Sausage

Serves 4
1 lb polish sausage cut into 3 inch pieces
1 (16 oz) jar sauerkraut
1 apple, sliced
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp caraway seed
1 tsp paprika
Cook sausage in large skillet for 10 minutes or until brown; drain. Drain sauerkraut, reserving 1/2 cup liquid. Rinse sauerkraut. Add sauerkraut to sausage with apple and brown sugar; mix well. Stir in caraway seed and paprika. Simmer for 20 minutes, adding reserved sauerkraut liquid if necessary to make of desired consistency.
