Hearty Wheat rolls

Makes 18 rolls

2 cup all purpose flour
2 pkg dry yeast
1 cup milk
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tbsp salt
2 1/2 to 3 cups whole wheat flour

Mix all purpose flour and yeast in mixer bowl. Combine milk, water, oil, sugar, and salt in saucepan. Heat to 120 to 130 degrees. Pour into flour mixture. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Add whole wheat flour 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Dough will be soft. Let rest for 12-15 minutes. Roll 1/2 inch thick on floured surface. Cut as desired. Place in greased pan. Let rise for 30 minutes. Bake at 400 F for 15-18 minutes or until brown.
