Whole wheat biscuits

Makes 12 biscuits

2 cup whole wheat flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup shortening
2/3 cup milk

Mix whole wheat flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in bowl. Cut in shortening until crumbly. Stir in milk. Shape lightly into ball on floured surface. Roll 1/2 inch thick. Cut with biscuit cutter. Place on greased baking sheet. Bake at 425 F for 10 minutes.
