Sweet and Sour sauce

1 can pineapple tidbits (13 1/2 oz)
2 Tbsp cornstarch
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup chopped green pepper

Drain pineapple; reserve juice. Measure syrup; add water to make 1 cup. Blend together pineapple liquid and cornstarch until smooth. Stir in next three ingredients. Cook until clear and thick. Add pineapple and green pepper. Simmer over low heat 5 minutes. Pour sauce over drained meatballs.
NOTE: Freezes well
