Strawberry Pie

2 1/4 cups sugar
4 1/2 Tbsp cornstarch
2 1/4 cups cold water
2 tsp strawberry flavoring
2 tsp red food coloring
3 pints fresh strawberries
pastry for two pies

Mix the sugar, cornstarch, cold water and bring to a boil for 4-5 minutes. Take off stove top and add strawberry flavoring, food coloring and fresh berries. Pour into two baked pie shells. Serve with cool whip.
