Cherries Flan Tart

Serves 6

1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs well beaten
2/3 cup sifted regular flour
2 cups milk
1/2 tsp vanilla or 1/4 cup chartreuse liqueur
1 can (1 lb) pitted black cherries, drained
whipping cream

Mix sugar, eggs, flour, milk and vanilla or chartreuse. Place the cherries in well greased pan (8 inch square and 2 inch deep) and pour in the batter over them. Bake in a 400 F oven for about 45 minutes. Serve hot with whipped cream.
