Charlene's Recipe

White icing

2 egg whites (unbeaten)
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 cup cold water
1 Tbsp light corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla

Place all ingredients except vanilla in top of double boiler over boiling water. Beat at low speed of mixer until well mixed then beat at medium to high speed until you can hold beaters up and frosting will form peaks. Remove from water and add vanilla. Spread on cooled cake.
